Advantages & Disadvantages of IS

Advantage :

1.      Security first:

·         Google Apps includes many security features specifically made to keep your data safe

·         Google data center network provides exceptional security and guarantees* reliable access to your data.

·         Your work is always backed up , While you are working and editing the data , your data is updated automatically

·         Data is controlled by the user

·         When the user puts his data in the Google APPs, he still own it.

·         Strong encryption and authentication, it helps to secure data by offering extra layer of security with two authentication (usernames and password ) which decline the risk of hacking the user data .

2.      Stay connected from anywhere:

·         User can access his data from anywhere and anytime because after the user edit the data the work is automatically saved in the cloud. So people and members of a group can collaborate without being in the same area.

3.      Google offer a Translation in many languages in a very efficient way (64 languages). It also takes suggestion even to make the process easier and more accurate.

4.      Also it provides Google Doc .a new way to have you office and document saved and managed by them in a very safe location.  

Disadvantage :

·         Google doesn’t delete anything since it began. This means that when the user deletes things from Google the data still not deleted it is still stored in Google servers.

·         If the user make a search in Google search engine, it will code what the user had looked for and save it .

·         The lack of privacy is a major issue that Google need to work with, they should ask the user if he is accepting that there is a cookie that keeps tracking and record all his net browser information.
